Maulana Azad Medical College, ranked third in India by India Today and Times of India, is situated on a 122-acre campus in New Delhi. It is affiliated with several institutes like Lok Nayak Hospital, GB Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, and Guru Nanak Eye Center. The college has 2800 beds, handles 7200 outpatient visits daily, and operates 47 theaters.

Founded in 1958, originally with Irwin Hospital, it was later renamed in honor of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. The institution trains two hundred ninety undergraduates, two hundred forty-five postgraduates, and 810 resident doctors each year, supported by four hundred forty-six faculty members.
