IIT Guwahati, or the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, abbreviated as IITG, was established in 1994. It is the sixth member of the IITs. For the M.Tech and M.Des course, 66.66% of the registered 432 students were placed during the IIT Guwahati placement drive.

IIT Guwahati highest package during 2023 placements for the B.Tech and B.Des course was INR 1.2 CPA (domestic) and INR 72 LPA (international), and the highest package for M.Tech and M.Des course was INR 44 LPA (domestic) and INR 2.05 CPA (international). 246 companies from various sectors have participated in the 2022-23 placement session.
