Fergusson College, (FC) was established in 1885 in Pune, Maharashtra and has been affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune(SPPU). The campus is built on an area of 65 acres with state of art infrastructure facilities. The college provides education in the field of Arts and Science. The college offers various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Apart from these the college also offers skill-based courses and enjoys Academic Autonomy, granted to it by UGC. Fergusson College has been ranked 45th in the college category by NIRF rankings 2024.

The Training and Placement Cell was established in the college in 2000, to impart training related to placement to the students of various programs in the College. It is a premier institute for liberal learning in India. The college was founded by the famous Deccan Education Society(DEC). The society itself is the parent body of several institutions spread over the landscape of Maharashtra. Fergusson College admission is open in April 2026.

BA Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate has to pass the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.

B. Sc Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate has to pass the 10+2 or SSC examination from a recognized board in a science field.

M.A Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidate is required to have a graduation degree in BA or equivalent in a relevant field with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• The applicants need to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the concerned department.
