Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) is a three-year undergraduate program that offers advanced studies in the field of management that are necessary to run an organization efficiently. It also provides in-depth knowledge of human resource management, economics, and business studies.

To apply offline, students must visit the colleges/universities which offer this course and check the admission process. BMS course online admission is done by filling in the required details on the application form and submitting the scanned document which has been mentioned in the application form guideline. 

Selection Process

BMS candidates are mostly selected in India based on the percentage they scored in their 10+2 exams. BMS course details vary among colleges/universities that offer the course, so some colleges have eligibility criteria for students who wish to take this course. The colleges/universities have an entrance test, and the candidates who pass it get into the colleges/university.

BMS entrance exams are conducted according to the guidelines of the colleges/universities. In the case of students who clear the entrance exam cut-off, they will have the right to proceed directly to the selection process. Eligibility Criteria for BMS Course?

Admission to BMS course eligibility is dependent on the requirements set by the particular universities/colleges. Eligibility criteria for BMS course are students who opt for this course must have passed his/her 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% in the former subject from the recognized board and students who are interested in this course should be between 17-23 years of age limit. 

The BMS course is best suitable for students with a commerce subject base who can apply for this undergraduate program or with the equivalent qualification can also opt for this course. BMS is an undergraduate program that has entrance exams conducted for the students who are applying for this course. 

BMS Course DU Eligibility?

  1. The candidates should have qualified for the Senior Secondary School Examination of CBSE or any other examination considered equivalent by the University of Delhi
  2. The General Category candidates should secure an aggregate of at least 60% marks in their XII class examination in four papers including English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by the University of Delhi
  3. The minimum percentage of marks for OBC is 54%, for SC & ST pass marks in qualifying examination, for PwD 55%, for CW 55%. Other conditions are the same as for the General Category

Entrance Exams for BMS?

In some colleges/universities offering this BMS course, admission is determined by the course guidelines. Top management studies based exams can also be used to pass BMS entrance exams. Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT), is used as an entrance exam for some colleges for students pursuing this course. In some colleges and universities, there are separate entrance exams with cut-off marks. The following are some of the top BMS entrance exams:

The BMS degree requires that students be familiar with the management exam pattern and syllabus before taking the examination. It will help the students to prepare for the exam in advance and it will also help the students to clear the exam easily. In general, the entrance exam has the following format:

  1. Each section of the paper is organized according to the following sections: English Language, Numerical, and Data Analysis, Reasoning and Intelligence, and General Knowledge.
  2. UGAT will be held via both online and offline based tests.
  3. 2 hours is the duration of the UGAT exam.
  4. The type of Question for this exam is MCQs.
  5. Several questions for the exam are 130.
  6. There is a maximum score of 130 points for the exam.
  7. Each section carries 30/40 marks.
  8. There is no negative marking for the questions.
  9. The exam is conducted in English.
